DESCRIPTION:Voting for our elected leaders and representatives is one of our fundamental rights as Americans, and none is more important than electing a president. Every four years presidential elections engage the entire country and provide citizens and candidates a chance to discuss, debate and decide the country's direction and future.\n\nCampaign season is in full swing at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum with "Headed to the White House," an interactive exhibit designed for all ages, capturing the excitement and pageantry of the presidential election process from the first primaries through the presidential inauguration. Multimedia experiences, hands-on activities and role-playing opportunities immerse visitors in all the action of a campaign.\n\nIn this exhibit, you'll step into the roles of the many different people involved in presidential elections. You can:\n\nSee what it's like to be a presidential candidate \nTry your hand at running a campaign \nCreate your own election news story \nLearn how to get involved — even if you're too young to vote \n"Headed to the White House" is an engaging celebration of democracy and the power of "We, the People."\n\nThis National Constitution Center exhibit is made possible through the generosity of The Annenberg Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.\n\n"Headed to the White House" is on display at the Bush Library and Museum from Sept. 1, 2011 through July 29, 2012.
