The Film Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies Programs present Lars von Trier’s 2011 award-winning film MELANCHOLIA. Called “a severe and ecstatic work of art” by the DALLAS MORNING NEWS and “a masterwork of grandeur, millennial angst and high romantic style” by Ann Hornaday in the WASHINGTON POST, this audacious film is part family melodrama, part end of the world thriller. A panel discussion by A&M graduate students studying film will follow the screening.
