SUMMARY:2012 Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities
DESCRIPTION:The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) at Texas A&M represents a significant collaboration on our campus between the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship, Center for Executive Development and the Mays Business School. Each of these entities, coupled with our donors, brings to life the spirit of Aggieland for aspiring entrepreneurs. The EBV initiative offers training in entrepreneurship and small business management to soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines disabled as a result of their service supporting operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. The intent of the EBV is to open the door to entrepreneurial opportunity and small business ownership, by developing competencies in the many steps and activities associated with creating and sustaining an entrepreneurial venture, and also by helping coordinate efforts with programs and services for veterans and others with disabilities.

SUMMARY:"Headed to the White House" Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Voting for our elected leaders and representatives is one of our fundamental rights as Americans, and none is more important than electing a president. Every four years presidential elections engage the entire country and provide citizens and candidates a chance to discuss, debate and decide the country's direction and future.\n\nCampaign season is in full swing at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum with "Headed to the White House," an interactive exhibit designed for all ages, capturing the excitement and pageantry of the presidential election process from the first primaries through the presidential inauguration. Multimedia experiences, hands-on activities and role-playing opportunities immerse visitors in all the action of a campaign.\n\nIn this exhibit, you'll step into the roles of the many different people involved in presidential elections. You can:\n\nSee what it's like to be a presidential candidate \nTry your hand at running a campaign \nCreate your own election news story \nLearn how to get involved — even if you're too young to vote \n"Headed to the White House" is an engaging celebration of democracy and the power of "We, the People."\n\nThis National Constitution Center exhibit is made possible through the generosity of The Annenberg Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.\n\n"Headed to the White House" is on display at the Bush Library and Museum from Sept. 1, 2011 through July 29, 2012.
