FREE fitness and training classes, FREE prizes and the FREE U.S. Marine Corps Combat Fitness Challenge—what more could you ask for? This year, the Department of Recreational Sports is proud to host the 6th annual Fall Fit Fest, brought to you by MarineOfficer.com. This FREE event is a sneak preview of a variety of Group RecXercise classes, Specialty Classes and Personal Training clinics. Plus, for those wanting extreme training, MarineOfficer.com is hosting the U.S. Marine Corps Combat Fitness Challenge! DeAun Woosley, Rec Sports Director of Fitness and Classes said, “Fall Fit Fest will be an energetic, electrifying event that promotes fitness classes, personal training and everything else Rec Sports has to offer. On top of all that, this is definitely the largest free event that we have offered in a long time.” Jerod Wilson, Rec Sports Director of Strength & Conditioning, is also very excited about this event, stating, “This year’s Fall Fit Fest will likely be the biggest, most exciting one we’ve ever had! Partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps for this event is an honor for Rec Sports, and we have an awesome variety of offerings for our members to come try out and participate in.”
Fall Fit Fest will take place Friday, August 31st from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Student Recreation Center. This event will include over 27 fitness classes, clinics and challenges, each scheduled to last 45 minutes. Participants will have the opportunity to earn points by attending fitness classes, clinics and/or challenges. A variety of prizes, donated by MarineOfficer.com, will be distributed to those who reach various levels of points.
No registration is necessary for this event. Non-Rec members interested in participating in this event must purchase a Rec Sports day pass.
