Description
Captain James “Jim” Arthur Lovell, Astronaut & Commander of the Apollo 13 Mission will be at Texas A&M on Friday, September 28, 2012 to present the 2012 Astronaut Scholarship Foundation award to senior aerospace engineering student Emily Boster.
Capt. Lovell will give public remarks on the theme “Being Committed to Succeed” as part of the ceremony, which will run 1:30 – 2:30 PM with a brief Q&A scheduled after.
Students who are interested in pursuing an institutional nomination for the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation award should review eligibility criteria at http://nationalfellowships.tamu.edu and then contact Dr. Suma Datta to schedule an appointment.
