Just like OPAS, RAY BENSON has been on the Texas scene since the early 1970s The Philadelphia-born, six-foot seven-inch front man and founder of the world-renowned Western swing band Asleep at the Wheel comes to Rudder for a very rare acoustic concert. A nine-time Grammy award-winner, Benson's set will include hilarious behind-the-scenes stories of working with legends in the industry and secrets behind some of his favorite songs. Ray last appeared with OPAS during the sold out performances of A Ride with Bob: The Bob Wills Musical. Since then, he was named Texan of the Year in 2011. OPAS Performance Night Parking Available in the University Center Parking Garage. No payment will be required before or after the performance. "Gold Seal" parking pass holders should place your hangtag on your rearview mirror. Parking spaces designated for "Gold Seal" patrons will be available on the first level of the garage. Handicapped parking spots are available on the first level of the garage as well.
