Description
A politician may claim that they better represent the interests of women - but which women and which interests? Are there universal interests that all women share or are our interests as "women" trumped by our racial, class, or ideological identities? Dr. Maria Escobar-Lemmon, a political scientist at Texas A&M, will lead a discussion covering these questions as well the question of how those interests are being represented in politics and by whom.
