The Hispanic and African American Leadership & Learning Symposium (HALLS): A Woman’s Way of Opening Doors is dedicated to empowering African American and Latina women at Texas A&M University in the area of leadership development. We charge women to defy typical gender roles, become leaders in diverse organizations and establish personal and professional goal setting skills. The symposium consists of seminars focused in the areas of gender roles, leadership in mainstream America, skill development, contemporary race issues, and incorporating your college involvement into your resume. HALLS will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the Memorial Student Center and is a collaborative program coordinated and hosted by the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the Multicultural Greek Council, and the Department of Multicultural Services Hispanic Student Engagement Initiative.
