Description
The increasing instability in the Middle East is an impetus for the United States to promote domestic energy independence. This lecture will focus on renewable energy, as well as fossil fuel alternatives, such as natural gas or biofuels. The costs and benefits of hydraulic fracturing (fracking), a particularly interesting and controversial topic in Texas, will also be explored.
