Kennedy Space Center Director and Former Shuttle Astronaut Col. Robert Cabana (USMC, Ret.) will be the featured presenter at the 2013 Astronaut Scholarship Foundation awards program on Monday, October 28, 10-11:30 a.m. in Rudder Theatre. Sponsored by Honors and Undergraduate Research, Office of the Provost, and the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF), this Community of Scholars event will feature Col. Cabana's experiences with NASA and as pilot and commander of several Shuttle flights that included the first International Space Station assembly mission. ASF scholarships will be presented to two Texas A&M students--Ms. Amanda Couch'14, Electrical Engineering, and Mr. Dillon Amaya '14, Meteorology. This event is open to the public and is free of charge. Tickets are required and may be secured in person at the MSC Box Office in Rudder Tower.
