Description
In response to the changing shape of America's global enemy, Boots Off the Ground will explore how the United States has begun to shift from warfare based on manpower and overwhelming force to an increasing reliance on intelligence, instruments of cyber-warfare and the use of more precise military tactics. Gen. Stan McChrystal is Former Commander of U.S. and International Forces in Afghanistan. Ambassador Ryan Crocker served as U.S. Ambassador in the Middle East for over 20 years. David E. Sanger is the Chief Washington Correspondent for the New York Times and is a foreign policy specialist. This speaker panel will lend their perspectives on changes in the American military structure and how these changes will affect the United States in the coming decades. The program will include prepared remarks from each speakers, a panel exchange, and questions from the audience.
