Panel Discussion on Rap and the Black Community

Event Type
Panel Discussion
Date
Thursday, November 14, 2013
Time
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Description
An in-depth look into the history of rap and how it attributed to and personified the changes in the black community. The lyrics, the appearances, and the lifestyles of the rappers through the ages vary greatly, from where it once represented the voice of the community to now projecting the "ideal life" the listeners desire from the world. It's time to reflect on where it all started and realize where it is today.
