Pandora's Promise Film Screening

Event Type
Film
Date
Friday, September 6, 2013
Time
2:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Description
The Department of Nuclear Engineering will host a special screening of "Pandora’s Promise", a groundbreaking film on nuclear power, 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013 in Rudder Auditorium. After the screening a Q&A session will take place with the director. The free event is open to the public and features personal stories of environmentalists and energy experts who have undergone a radical conversion from being fiercely against nuclear energy to strongly supportive of nuclear energy, risking their careers and reputation in the process. Texas A&M is one of the few college campuses selected to show this film before the documentary’s public broadcast on CNN in November. The film was also an official selection and audience favorite at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. For more information, including the trailer, visit: http://pandoraspromise.com
